San Juan River

Flew into Phx, AZ from Juneau AK drove to Flagstaff AZ, then took an amazingly beautiful drive through Monument Valley, AZ. Put in for the river @ Sand Island in southern Utah. As the crow flys just down the way from Mexican Hat. Rowed 4 boats with 10 people down the San Juan river for 8 days... approximately 82 miles. Most amazing trip ... in years.. alot of work, great fun, fabulous scenery, very rejuvinating. Forgot how much work and how much fun river trips are.....
Got to hike to Anasazi Indian ruins, had a tacky party, rowed through Government Rapids, a class III rapid(the only one that didn't get stuck on a rock). We flipped a boat (no one injuried) My tent and boat mates were Nick and Maria on the Tortilla Float (our boat). Our guide, not guide was Lee... saved our virtual butts from likely demise in the wilderness.

Mom and Aunti L

Got to hang out w/ Mom and aunti L in San Fransisco for 1 week. The gals are hanging in the pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay... talked them into a couple of pumpkins to carve w/ Linda's grandkids..... good times!

When in Bisbee

The infamous tooth purse has been retired to Bisbee, AZ in the capable hands of Wendy.

Halloween

"Lets do the time warp again" hit the Rocky Horror picture Show at
the midnight show. Good crowd turn out downtown and at our favorite
little theater.

Half moon Bay pumkin patch

Kk down south appearently enjoying the sun and the company of her
Mother and Auntie "L" The boys are roughing it back in AK on a 2 1/2
week guy party. Just so you know Mom, clothes dont have to be
separated for washing and the dishes stack real high if you're
careful....

SHELLY @ 50

Kinda looks like Vegas... but never mind. Shelly turned 50, so we celebrated by watching the famous, (after lots of plastic surgery.. looks like she not even 50) SUPER STAR... CHER. Good times had by all.

LAS VEGAS

Typical Vegas trip.... lights, glam, late nights, excess.... several exciting bonuses.... watched CHER rock the house from the 5th row... attended a tatoo convention... of course.. can't talk about the rest.

Klondyke Relay Team/12 hour holds

Annual relay race from Skayway AK to Whitewhorse Yukon, a 10 man team, varying legs from 7mi-16 miles, starts Fri afternoon.... run all night... typically finish around noon, Saturday! We had a ridiculously fast team this year (not because of me!) Heres a few photos of my teamates and our time!

SITKA

Fast ferry off to Sitka for a day.... we hung out in Sitka for 5.. maybe 10 mins... got back on and rode back to Juneau. Very relaxing day... slept, read a book, slept, read, slept.... I loved it! Beautiful trip!... I think Jack looked up from his computer once? Mom/Dad read and hung out, we chatted....

Whale Tail

What is an alaska trip without a whale tail? NOT happening! Off we went to watch whales, they did not disappoint. Many whales, few fin flappers, one long distance breach.... no bubble feeding ... but all in all.. AWESOME!

GOT CRABS!!

Great feed!! Think we caught 8 crabs.... let 2 go after deciding that was abit GREEDY. Here is the start of our week long seafood feast while Mom/Dad were back in AK.

Took a nalgene bottle of courage and took the skiff with it's new 9.9
hp outboard up the river. Well the prop is no longer new looking but
it got us to the bridge. KK took over with her natural river rafting
talents and guided us downstrem past bridge embuttments, underwater
boulders, and sunken logs. We met eagles, gulls and seals or our drift
from fresh to salt water. Too muck fun

Took some time out to hit the go carts. Unfortunately for the 7 yr old
racing with us it was dukes of hazard style and we put h into the
tires twice in a couple of turns. Too bad sucker.... Jeff Gordon we've
