KK and the Wearable Arts 2 PLACE WINNER!

As the parents of teenagers can tell you, trying to keep milk in the fridge is an ongoing struggle --but it’s next to impossible with a teenage boy in the house. A15-year-old in his natural habitat can consume as much as half his weight in milk a single day. Now, while most males will not actually buy a gallon of milk until they are twenty-something, sons assume that each time they open the fridge door, the milk should be magically replenished. In honor of every mother who’s heard those shocked and appalled words from the mouths of their sons . “MOM… we’re out of milk!?! ” artist Kathy Kartchner presents Milk Maid.

Milk Maiden

I know all of you are wondering ... What do we do all winter long, when there is no snow... it is cold .... dark.... ??? My project for this year... looks a little fruitless, perhaps even frivolous... you may or may not be correct. I am nearly complete and proud! I have spent the last .... several months... cutting out milk jugs creating pedals, sewing them onto a backdrop of mesquito netting with dental floss. Why dental floss... well .... why not, I seemed to have alot of it? Don't tell my dentist....Nearly 100 milk jugs have given there life to this project, however no milk was harmed.

New Bathroom Floor!

This is the concrete truck pouring concrete into the bathroom, through the bedroom. Pretty Exciting!

Concrete, flowing through my house... making the new "HEATED" bathroom floor. Nothing but the best for my future guests!

Joe, mucking around in wet concrete... kinda looks like fun!
