Father's Day Dinner

Father's day consisted of dinner on the water... Alaskan style. Took the skiff out for a spin around the Bay...
Father's Day present was more conceptual.... thinking about a new mini water craft... an inflatable dingy? Of course need a new motor... that I can start and lift.. etc
Yesterday the new motor came to life... very exciting. The motor is electric.. just push a buttom and make it go... no pulling ... pulling ... pulling frantically.

This exiting new development, made us say... HMMMM time for crab trap. Sunday dropped our new pot... yesterday dungeness crab for dinner... YUM! FUN.. hUh!

Jack @ Bluegrass Camp

One week and playing the bass... I was impressed. Jack went to Bluegrass camp... it was WAY cool!!! They actually had a performance @ the end of week... wasn't too painful..Learned how to strum a few stings on the guitar, bass and mandolin. 2 teenage boys in the "Band", both on bass... what talent.

Upstairs BR DEMo

Just because I am a gluten for punishment... or stupid... (you decide, John doesn't get to vote) have decided to gut another bathroom. This is Jack's bathroom... pink sink, pink toilet... sound familiar... fabulous mirror.. mirror on the wall ... Shrek type mirror/vanity. Anywho, that was last weekends project... we shall see how long this one takes????? It is a simple re-do... replace... no surprises ... so far! So, down to one... because downstairs... it not quite done!

Downstairs bathroom suite

OK... this is ALONG time coming... but now we are down to chores I can do... Paint! You are looking @ the million dollar downstairs bathroom.... you gotta admit... it is pretty!! So.. here I am putting paint on the ceiling. TOILET is IN.... haven't tried it yet... but that is another story. Room is frantically being worked on.. by yours truly... paint... drapes... furniture... etc. Hopefully doors before my parents come visit.

Celebration 2010

Huge gathering of various Native clans from all over Southeast Alaska... the parade is awesome. Dancing, drumming, traditional dress ... love watching the whole show!

Water Bucket Practice

Took the boys from work out for some fire bombing practice. Nice warm summer day. I gave one of the pilots a chance to drop a load on me, (thinking there was no way he would be that good of a shot right away) Wrong............ took a few gallons on the head. He still has a job.
